Freyssinet Australia sought to replace the rusted metal louvres and wire mesh at Stadium Australia, a project fraught with logistical challenges due to ongoing live events and COVID-19 restrictions. Our task was to provide a solution that not only matched the existing aesthetic but also enhanced durability and functionality.
Drawing on our proven credibility and extensive market knowledge, we selected our Delta Series louvre for its unique spanning capabilities, in-built vermin-proofing, and interlocking blade design. Each louvre, custom-sized and numbered from 1 to 400, was flat-packed for easy transportation and on-site assembly. This innovative approach minimized delays and reduced costs, eliminating the need for craneage.
Through continuous collaboration and innovative solutions, we implemented a digital system to streamline operations, alerting our manufacturing team immediately upon receipt of site measurements. Daily pre-start meetings and a rigorous measurement system ensured that each louvre was swiftly produced and installed, maintaining quality and efficiency. The Delta Series’ flexibility allowed us to replicate the existing system’s look while providing superior airflow and security.
Efficient planning and precise processes were key. Our dedicated team, including the Project Manager, Design Director, Drafters, Project Administration, Site Supervisors, Procurement, Manufacturing, and a Structural Engineer, collaborated seamlessly to deliver the project. Working closely with the painting team, we coordinated scaffold use efficiently, ensuring the timely completion of louvre replacements.
