Located in Fortitude Valley, the NEXTDC B2 Data Centre is a landmark in data centre design, setting new benchmarks for security, performance, and energy efficiency. It is Australia’s first data centre to secure Uptime Institute Tier IV Certification, ensuring fault tolerance and 100% uptime.Louvreclad partnered with FDC Construction to design, manufacture, and install over 700m² of our Delta Series® roll formed Colorbond® steel louvres.

These louvres serve a critical function: zero-vision screening for the open roof plant.

To achieve this, Louvreclad installed the Delta Series single-stage louvres inverted, to prevent pedestrians from seeing into the plant area. In areas requiring rain defence, a second stage was added to the louvre profile design to provide Class A effective rain defence while ensuring a unified aesthetic.
The project involved converting a 3-story bank building into a state-of-the-art 6MW data centre. The building was stripped to its structural elements and reinforced to support the increased load. Louvreclad’s expertise was integral in meeting the complex performance and aesthetic requirements.
The large bank of black continuous louvres complements NEXTDC’s strong branding and aligns with Greenbox’s innovative design. This project sets new industry standards and was recognised with numerous awards, including the Master Builders Association’s Project of the Year – Brisbane (2018).
