In preparation for future air traffic control requirements, Architectus and Badge Construction have partnered to deliver state-of-the-art twin projects at Melbourne and Brisbane airports, housing the innovative OneSKY control centres. The OneSKY program, a collaboration between Airservices and the Department of Defence, is revolutionizing air traffic management with the Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS).

These twin projects, tailored to the unique design parameters of Melbourne and Brisbane, showcase Louvreclad's cutting-edge solutions.

The design philosophy embraces minimalism, with each element crafted for simplicity. Louvreclad's commitment to ergonomic, acoustic, and visual comfort ensures an optimal working environment for staff overseeing more than 10% of the world's airspace.

Louvreclad's perforated Polaris Series was crafted into semi-circular 8.8-metre-high concave aluminium screens. These sage green installations cast dramatic shadows to the north and south exteriors, becoming a visual centrepiece. This design is mirrored in the precast concrete formwork on the east and west exteriors, complemented by Louvreclad Platinum Series custom aluminium vertical cladding.

Louvreclad's full-scale prototype of the Polaris Series screens allowed for precise testing and visualization, ensuring client satisfaction for both Brisbane and Melbourne sites.

Additional features include Louvreclad Caprice Series vertical sun blades for shading and screening in Melbourne, and Louvreclad Hudson Series 300 acoustic louvres in Brisbane, expertly designed and installed to minimize noise from plant equipment.
